ResponsibilitiesIdentify workplace hazards and work with plant staff to mitigateabate these hazardsWork closely with Plant Manager to understand company needs and mission.Work closely with Plant team and corporate resources to continuously improve EH&S programs.Provide safety training to all employees, contractors, and vendors as required.Lead Safety Committee meetings.Perform EH&S compliance auditsassessments of facility and contractor work activities.Effectively communicate with contractor teams to create a documented safe work plan.Provide prompt documentation of assessment findings, observations, and recommendations.Conduct investigations of Health & Safety incidents to include root cause analysis.Implement safe work practices and behaviors to achieve ZERO incidentsaccidents (TIR).Ensure employees', contractors', and vendors' work practices are in regulatory compliance with applicable regulatory agencies, as well as with company standards and policies.Provide subject matter expertise in technical areas to include OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC, NIOSH, ANSI, and ASTM.Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience leading EHS in a manufacturing settingIdentify workplace hazards and work with plant staff to mitigateabate these hazards.Work closely with Plant Manager to understand company needs and mission.Ability to influence Plant Manager, supervisors, and team leaders to lead with safetyProvide EHS training to all employees, contractors, and vendors as required.Lead Safety Committee meetings.Lead the locations Emergency Response TeamPerform EH&S compliance auditsassessments of facility and contractor work activities.Effectively communicate with contractor teams to create a documented safe work plan.Provide prompt documentation of assessment findings, observations, and recommendations.Conduct investigations of Health & Safety incidents to include root cause analysis.Implement safe work practices and behaviors to achieve ZERO incidentsaccidents (TIR).Ensure employees', contractors', and vendors' work practices are in regulatory compliance with applicable regulatory agencies, as well as with company standards and policies.Provide subject matter expertise in technical areas to include OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC, NIOSH, ANSI, and ASTM.Previous certification in the regulatory topics below:Combustible DustAccident PreventionFirst AidCPRAED and Bloodborne PathogensConfined SpaceLockoutElectrical SafetyEmergency ResponseFire PreventionHazard CommunicationMaterial HandlingHearing ConservationOSHA RecordkeepingPersonal Protective EquipmentPower Tool Use and GuardingRespiratory ProtectionCraneHoistRigging SafetyWeldingHot WorkIncident InvestigationWorking from HeightsWorking and Walking SurfacesPreferred Qualifications - What Will Set You ApartOSHA 30 Hour-General IndustryOSHA 30 Hour-ConstructionNFPA 70eRoot Cause Analysis (Cause MappingTaproot etc.)Experience in leading culture changeCertified Safety Professional (CSP)Working ConditionsMust be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degreesWilling and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environmentWilling and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
