Place Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Traveling Construction Superintendent SSHO for our Federal Division. The position project will be located in Mississippi.This position will be primarily focused on supervising, inspecting, and approving day-to-day operations as well as attending preconstruction meetings to providing closeout documents of the Federal Division projects. You will also be tasked with the Site Safety and Health Officer responsibilities.Who We Are:Place Services Inc. is a leading commercial construction company with our headquarters based in Canton, Georgia. Our depth of clients expertise ranges from the grocery industry to big box retail as well as both state and Federal government projects in military and healthcare.What You'll Do:Supervise, inspect, and approve day-to-day operations of Federal Division remodel projectsDevelop and review the Accident Prevention Plan along with other safety compliance for the projectCompleting all required on-site paperworkCoordinating construction projects with management, subcontractors, and PSI employeesRepresenting PSI with professionalism and integritySchedule, manage, and assist, as needed, subcontractorsSet expectations of subcontractors and hold them accountable for resultsProvide direct accountability for job safety reporting and documentationComplete reports and documentation required or requested by managementInspect and secure jobsite to prevent damages and theftEnsure a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety standardsEstablish sequence & manner to carry out work, consistent with Project Manager's direction and keep the project on scheduleAbility & willingness to study, understand, direct, and perform, based on construction drawingsPrepare and document job meetings, safety meetings, reports, daily pictures & logsBe willing to physically work as neededAlways be willing to accomplish any other task that may be required at any given timeWho You Are:Excellent with Details: You have an eye for precision, ensuring near-perfect accuracy in all tasks and a strong focus on quality output.Team Player: Embodying a 'we over me' mentality, you understand the importance of collective success and how your actions affect the team.Effective Communicator: With proficiency in both verbal and written communication, you maintain professionalism at all times, accurately representing our company.Flexible: Adaptable to changing business needs, you can swiftly adjust to new directions and priorities.Continuous Improvement: You possess a genuine eagerness to learn, grow, and bring innovative ideas to the table, aiming to enhance company practices.What You Bring:5 + years of federal andor commercial construction superintendent experience.Read and understand drawings and specs, and ensure that all scopes are completed in accordance with prints and specsStrong time management skillsStrong phone and computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and sending of photosAbility to travel up to 80% of the time if needed, able to work Friday thru Saturday if needed, and have a valid driver's licenseWork at night if requiredLearn quickly and make educated decisions as required to maintain scheduleManage both subcontractors and internal federal employeesCommunicate with clients and provide them with project details, as well as keep them fully updated with the scheduleIdentify and solve problemsManage actual schedule, including two-week lookaheadsThe ability to lift 75 lbs.The ability to transfer 130 lbs. a distance of 12 feet with the help of another personThe ability to work outdoors in diverse environmentsThe ability to ascend and descend ladders and other elevated structuresMust be able to work at heights from an elevated aerial deviceAs an EEO employer, Place Services, Inc. is committed to providing all applicants and employees with equal access to employment opportunities, regardless of sex, race, age, color, national origin, disability, pregnancy, religion, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
