Swagelok designs, manufactures, and delivers an expanding range of the highest-quality fluid system products and solutions.Position SummaryWe are recruiting for a skilled, detailed-oriented Quality Control Technician ("QCT") for our Baton Rouge, LA office. This is an onsite full-time position in our Custom Solutions (Fabrication) department.The QCT is responsible for ensuring that assembled products meet both customer and Swagelok standards. This role demands a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. Required certifications will be provided through on-the-job training, covering various essential skills. Additionally, the position requires the ability to multitask and provide support to other roles within the Custom Solutions department.APPLY ONLINE ONLYNO PHONE CALLS OR WALK-INSWE AREN'T USING AGENCIESRECRUITERS--NO CALLS ExpectationsComplete final inspection of assemblies.Perform leak testing on basic and complex assemblies.Assist in customer Factory Acceptance Testing.Lead continuous improvement efforts & determine root cause.Perform receiving inspections on incoming third-party material.Perform tubing inspections.Perform reviews of job folders, ensuring all policy requirements are met.Participate in internal auditing.Maintain training certifications in our core assembly types.Perform calibrations as needed.Maintain calibrated devices.Conduct preventative maintenance of equipment and ensure that records are maintained.Operate laser engraver.Read manufacturing prints and P&IDs.Meet department production and quality objectives.Assist in packaging of assemblies.Build assemblies that may consist of Swagelok and third-party products using certified Swagelok processes.Use tape measures, saws, and drills.Perform the above and all other assigned responsibilities safely and efficiently.Position Requirements or QualificationsEducation:A high school diploma andor equivalent is required.Experience:Two years' inspection experience.Preferred experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Mechanical or fabrication experience a plus.Skills:Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and productsBasic shop mathMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsUnderstanding of tape measures, saws, and drillsGood verbal, listening, and written communication skillsAbility to work well with peopleAbility to multitaskShow initiative by seeking what must be done and assisting others as puter Skills: Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Manual dexterity is needed to handle products and gages properly. Must be able to pass a Visual Acuity test, including identifying colors.
