An aerospace client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will work with the Tooling Department responsible for the Engineering Project management of tool design and fabrication focusing on meeting cost and schedule requirements. Cross-functional work with various groups as well as reporting out status and evaluating risk to schedule and budget.Location: El Segundo, CA 90245 (Onsite)Position: Mechanical EngineerPay Rate: $32.36hr. on W2Duration: 6 months or longerRESPONSIBILITIES:As an Integration Tool Engineer, the individual will work with a design engineering, manufacturing engineering, Program Operations leadership business management, and Scheduling team to gather necessary information for cost control, forecasting, and proposals.The CAM will update Earned Value Management (EVM) tools and produce required data products, review monthly Earned Value (EV) data provide cost account status, and support program requirements. Additionally, this individual will manage multiple projects working directly with Tool Design Engineering as well as with in-house and offsite fabrication.Acquaint yourself with all engineering and technical aspects of tools used to manufacture aircraft components.Coordinate with technical leadership a cross-functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectivesDevelop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholdersDefine, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously.Perform Control Account Management (CAM) dutiesTrack budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline, participate in CAM status calls, prepare status forattend weekly status meetings, provideenter weekly Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) status, support stakeholder meetings, review Actuals Hours reports for time charging accuracy and alignment with IMS status.Coordinate with the scheduling team to develop and execute an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)Coordinate Change Requests with the Business Management and Scheduling team as neededWork to targeted cost, schedule, and staffing requirementsSupport logistics team, generate staffing requirements, documentation, and forecastsFacilitate internal meetings to support staffing, ensuring the staffing needs meet the staffing baselinePerform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risksPerform full project monitoring such as requirements traceability, SOW shredding, facilitation of team meetings, tracking and closing action items, and presentation creation for all levels of leadershipBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Must be a US Citizen.Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)2 years of related experienceAbove average knowledge of Excel, data manipulation and synthesis, project development, Gantt chart developmentAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret ClearanceProficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPointAbility to communicate with multiple levels of the organization having excellent presentation skillsSense of urgency, problem-solving, good oral communication, and detail-orientedAbout our client:Our client is a world leader and premier innovator in aerospace, with over 100,000 top-talent employees providing the industry's most advanced products and technologies and numerous awards and recognitions, they offer their employees continuous growth, learning, and development.About APR:Since 1980 APR Consulting, Inc. has provided professional recruiting and contingent workforce solutions to a diverse mix of clients, industries, and skill sets nationwide.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
