Job Type Full-time Description In the fight against cancer, Standard Imaging delivers precision QA products that help lead to better patient outcomes. We are a market leader specializing in radiotherapy QA technology. Become a part of our Engineering team and design QA tools used in radiation therapy/medical physics. As a Design Engineer you will be responsible for research, design development, analyzing data and documentation. Responsibilities Perform engineering research and development on assigned projects Utilize established mechanical engineering concepts and procedures; interpret data and specifications to develop designs Obtain and analyze engineering data, prepare product modifications, estimates, quotations and other pertinent data required Assist in the design, assembly and documentation of custom and OEM products as requested Document and/or modify the mechanical specifications, assembly instructions, and test procedures for new products and product revisions to comply with Standard Imaging regulatory requirements Assemble, test, and evaluate pilot models and assist in the evaluation of results Perform miscellaneous technical engineering assignments having to do with product design, manufacturing, and related areas to assist with and to resolve problems Coordinate activities with other engineering functions such as Manufacturing Support and external consultants. Requirements Qualifications BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment, especially an ISO 9001 or medical manufacturing facility, preferred Design experience using SolidWorks in a PDM environment, preferred Prototype fabrication experience preferred Basic understanding of radiation, radiation shielding, and radiation effects a plus We're an equal opportunity employer.
