FieldGeotechnical EngineerReally looking for someone who has experience in the area (if possible) and a PE. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDefine scopes for geotechnical investigationsPrepare proposals and travel to evaluation sitesPerform evaluation of subsurface conditions as they relate to the planned construction. The evaluation may include settlement calculations, bearing capacity calculations, determination of foundation options, etcPrepare andor oversee the preparation of geotechnical reports and boring logsProvide continual development and maintenance of both internal and external relationships (clients, vendors, consultants).Assist with the development of proposals and presentations for prospective projects. Coordinate preparation of invoiceAttend meetings as necessary to develop scope, discuss findings, discussing foundation options, etc.Coordinate with the CMT department during the construction phase to facilitate the implementation of recommendations in the prepared reportQualificationsBS in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from US-Accredited Institution3+ years' experience of Geotechnical full-time work Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to use technologycomputerKnowledge of geotechnical engineering calculations (soil settlement, bearing pressure, slope stability)Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, detailed reports, short correspondence, and memosPreferred Qualification Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to achieve within 1 year.
