This renowned property, situated on a 260-acre estate devoted to tree conservation and environmental education, offers a unique blend of natural beauty and sustainability.The lodge's architecture seamlessly integrates with the surrounding landscape, featuring wood and stone elements that reflect the area's natural charm. Inside, guests are welcomed by spacious and comfortable accommodations that combine rustic elegance with modern amenities. The property includes a full-service restaurant, versatile meeting rooms, and a variety of recreational activities.You'll play a key role in enhancing the lodge's focus on nature and community. The role involves overseeing the planning and execution of events, ensuring each occasion aligns with the lodge's commitment to sustainability and guest satisfaction. You'll help create memorable experiences for guests who come to explore the walking trails, gardens, and educational exhibits, all while enjoying a peaceful and immersive stay in a beautifully natural pensation: $65,000 - $75,000, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, wellness incentives, 401k with match, disability, life insurance, PTO, and much more!Banquet Event Manager Responsibilities:Establish training plans, engage team members, manage the budget, staffing, and inventoryReview Banquet Event Orders, attend and participate in weekly BEO meetingsWork with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, creating and honoring relationships to encourage return visitsWork diligently to maintain positive guest satisfaction scores and continually improve processesStay on top of technology trends and create purchasing plans for constant improvementBanquet Event Manager Qualifications:At least two years of experience leading events and banquetsA proven ability to select, train, support, and develop supervisors and front-line staffBroad and in-depth understanding of technology in a conference center capacityA hands-on team player with a proven track record of translating ideas into effective actionAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to see how all of the small things matter when putting on large eventsExcellent communication skills, written and verbalIf you're passionate about event management and eager to contribute to a venue that celebrates and preserves the environment, this opportunity could be a perfect fit.
