Electronics Engineer - Mid Level Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support. Electronics Engineer Job Description: Perform electrical and system engineering tasks to include researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Develops designs for electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic use. Performs trade studies, design, and technology assessments for emerging technologies. Success in this position requires an assertive, confident attitude and a commitment to working as a part of a team to meet critical delivery schedules. Electronics Engineer Required Tasks: * Develop and execute test procedures with experience using electronic test bench equipment. * Review design documentation for completeness and accuracy to ensure testing methodologies are acceptable for first of kind unit testing. * Communicate with design engineers and integration and test engineers to debug hardware and software issues. * Apply knowledge of linear (DC) and non-linear (AC) circuitry to complete test steps. * Apply knowledge of machine code, including ability to convert hex to binary to instruction sets to debug hardware issues. * Apply hand-on troubleshooting experience to analyze and debug complex electronic assemblies. * Design, develop, integrate, and test analog designs. * Model and simulate to optimize designs and to incorporate design margins. * Perform design analysis, technology assessments, and trade studies. Electronics Engineer Required Skills: * Experience with requirements derivation and capture. o Experience with complex systems development and evaluation. o Experience with interface requirements and component level requirements. * Experience implementing and customizing common commercial and open-source products. * Strong communication skills to explain design issues and solutions. Electronics Engineer Desired skills: * Hands-on Experience with building and analyzing electronics. * Experience with troubleshooting complex systems. * LabView experience. Electronics Engineer Additional Requirements: * B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering (A.S. Degree acceptable with applicable work experience) or equivalent experience or combined education and 1 to 5 years of professional experience. * Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen. * Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently. * Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships that foster team success.
