Job Title: Offsite Construction Detailer Job Summary: The offsite construction detailer will provide project detailing support and troubleshooting skills to support prefabrication coordination for on-time and under budget delivery. Cross-coordination with Dynalectric Management, Field, VC, vendors to integrate technical solutions to increase prefabrication operational efficiency, lower costs and shorten lead times. Duties and responsibilities: Electrical Project Detailing Work with Prefabrication team to detail project electrical systems with prefabrication and kitting in mind. Ensure alignment with company goal of delivering value-added prefabrication services to all associated projects. Work with Prefabrication team and VC to develop standard drawings sets produced for consistency and efficiency in the prefabrication assembly process. Work with site detailing leads to ensure standards are met throughout the detailing process and between other jobsites. Assist with onsite detailing needs dependent on current workload. Standardization/Alignment Create and modify detailed construction drawings for Prefabrication. Collaborate with Prefabrication Director of offsite construction, Superintendent/Foreman, VC to follow standards, schedules, best practices for most cost-effective material and labor costs. Work with VC to help create the Prefabrication common assemblies Revit family library. Workflow Manages workflow on projects as assigned. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Determines Prefabrication areas, systems, or assemblies that can improve field installation. Qualifications: Qualifications include: Requires current Journeyman electrical license. Must have a minimum of 10 years of field experience in the electrical trade. Must have extensive knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and materials. Experience with construction project lifecycle processes (e.g., design management, cost estimation, construction planning). Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit & Navisworks. Proficiency with MS Office 365, Bluebeam & Smartsheet. Ability to work independently and work well with others in a multi-functional environment. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and schedule form. Ability to coordinate a variety of routine projects and activities simultaneously. Outstanding communication and customer service skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Working Conditions: Travel required for on-site support. Typical working hours may vary. Generally, Monday - Friday during normal business hours, but when deadlines approach, they may be required to work extended hours, including some weekend work. Physical requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The offsite construction detailer is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Direct reports: None at this time.
