SUMMARY The Product Owner- Digital is responsible for defining, directing and leading the strategy and implementation of the Digital Experience technology roadmap for existing and future programs. This includes platforms such as our public facing web sites, customer service portals & Apps and digital technology stack that that create amazing, personalized experiences for our customers.This individual will be responsible for leading new website initiatives ensuring they meet customer and business needs, user-story development, backlog coordination and grooming, sprint management, stakeholder engagement, escalation and communication throughout delivery and implementation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with all internal business areas such as: Technology, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Legal as well as external vendors and partners. Provide expertise to deliver a digital-first, omni-channel experience supporting multiple distribution models used to generate new business with future servicing functionality. Collaborates with business leaders, stakeholders, and customers to solicit ideas and feedback to deliver functionality that drives profitable growth. Driving to an agile and iterative approach and avoiding analysis paralysis, leveraging rapid-development best practices to test and refine distribution channel based on business and agent feedback. Sets clear product direction, prioritizing the backlog towards maximum user and business value, and translating business goals into user stories. Advocating for continuous, rapid deployment with continuous testing to understand the impact changes have on adoption, revenue, and profit; and pivoting as needed to meet business objectives and serve customer/agent needs. Strategic thought leader that collaborates across the organization through innovative, creative, problem solving thinking resulting in actionable steps and defined business outcomes. Translating the strategy into a delivery roadmap and guide Agile delivery teams to execute, and monitoring performance, analyze reporting, and create proposals to ensure key goals are met. Developing and presenting relevant metrics (goals), methodology, and reporting. Participating in the preparation of business cases including return on investment (ROI) analysis. Contributes to short- and long-term planning sessions to design functionality to meet the needs of each Strategic program, distribution model, and future functionality requirements. Obtains needed information from stakeholders, in formal and informal meeting environments, to form comprehensive requirements. Works independently or through others to develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional specifications for implementation eliminating ambiguity. Ability to quickly adapt to changing organizational priorities and recommends priority of requirements based on time, cost, scope, strategic fit and return on investment. Communicates with stakeholder groups to achieve and maintain alignment. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology, functionality, products or programs. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs. Work with external partners to facilitate and coordinate ongoing technology integration needs. Interacts professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, vendors and subject matter experts LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no immediate, direct supervisory responsibilities. This role will lead and mentor other product owners and team members and is expected to successfully lead and execute with little management oversight. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in digital product management with an emphasis on customer-centric business process improvement. Experience in managing cross-functional internal and external stakeholder groups, and gathering and/or developing requirements for multi-channel / omni-channel digital marketplaces, B2B portals & B2C portals. Property/casualty insurance, financial services and/or jewelry industry experience is desired, but not required. COMPUTER SKILLS Proficiency in common Microsoft applications, including MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint and Outlook. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls; and talk or hear.
