What will you be doing? Barclays Services Corp. seeks Tech Lead/Delivery Lead in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available): As part of a global financial services organization, analyze business needs and develop software application for Transactions Monitoring system, applying principles and techniques of computer software development, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Design, architect, and configure Actimize Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM) solutions. Oversee technical implementation for current SAM8 system improvements by coordinating with offshore and onsite team members. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Lead, design, and orchestrate new system development based on business requirements. Achieve system stability by providing solution to production supporting team. Provide technical guidance and lead project teams during different project implementation phases. Liaise between internal and external business and development teams. Guide quality assurance team by providing technical design and testing approach of upcoming system feature. Lead offshore teams and manage business expectation on system enhancements. Drive solution design effort of projects and oversee every step of implementation. Determine technical feasibility by evaluating requirements and analysis as well as proposed solutions. Determine and manage project scope, benefits, and risks. Analyze efforts around project feasibility, associated cost, budget, and resourcing. Architect system enhancements with available latest technologies and vendor products. Ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and time constraints. Document, maintain, and modify applications specifications within project teams and internal policies and procedures. Build use cases, test cases, and prepare certification strategy & execution plan. Document and demonstrate solutions by implementing documentation, diagrams, code guideline, and comments. Purpose of the role To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives. Accountabilities Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives. Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget. Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity. Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development. Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
