Job Description Summary The IT Support Specialist works in a support role for the I.T. department with an emphasis on customer service and problem resolution. The Support Specialist is required to answer help desk calls in a helpful, understanding and personable manner. The technician will trouble shoot problems over the phone and if not resolved either escalate to tier two support or go on site to fix problems as needed. The budgeted pay rate for this position is $27.05. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience. Job Posting Deadline Applications for this position will be accepted until July 1, 2024. Essential Job Functions Answer Help Desk Calls Troubleshoot a variety of hardware and software problems either over the phone or in person Record all calls in KACE call tracking system Be familiar with installation and maintenance of all hardware used in rental, retail, ski school, ticketing and office applications Replace faulty hardware Createmanage user accounts Deal with warranty issues Image computers using KACE K2000 Replace leased assets under a deadline Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Professional computer experience is preferred Comfortable with troubleshooting, disassembling and repairing PCs and peripherals required Good understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems required Knowledge of WiFi and networking basics required Experience with HDI Certifications, A Certifications, ITIL knowledge andor KCS knowledge preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and strong trouble shooting skills for both hardware and software required Candidate must have a valid drivers license and know how to ski or snowboard at an advanced level Additional Information Supervision given and received Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Supervision received: Works under direct supervision of Director of IT Support Services. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available. Work Environment and physical demands Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements No adverse or hazardous conditions Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50) Job Benefits This position is categorized as a regular full-time position eligible for the following benefits: Enrollment dates differ across the various programs.
