POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing and Development Assistant reports to the Director of Communications & Development and works closely with the Fundraising and Public Relations Manager to assist with fundraising, events, donor/community relations, and marketing projects. The Marketing and Development Assistant is responsible for some graphics and writing for social media, e-newsletters, event materials, website and intranet maintenance, and other communications to promote agency programs; as well as accurate data entry in the donor database and completing associated correspondence with donors; This position participates in planning meetings and attends events associated with philanthropic and advocacy initiatives with partner organizations, as well as CCA fundraising and program events. Administrative functions will include printing and folding brochures, supplying outreach materials as requested, requisitioning purchase orders, scheduling meetings and writing meeting minutes, printing business cards, maintaining agency contact information and lists, and general administrative support for the Communications and Development Team when needed. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED: Excellent writing skills with the ability to tailor content to the audience Ability to cultivate strong interpersonal stakeholder and coworker relationships at all levels of the organization Ability to communicate with staff and community members in person, verbally, and in writing. Experience with development/fundraising in a nonprofit setting Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Office 365 Experience/proficiency with graphic design software a plus Experience with donor database systems a plus Highly organized and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both collaboratively and independently Bi-lingual a plus Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to work under deadlines Ability to work at a computer/desk for a substantial portion of the day Ability to handle general office equipment Valid driver's license and vehicle for transportation to and from various locations and for transporting supplies occasionally Occasional nights and weekends required About Us Community Care Alliance provides an array of services and supports that are linked together so people can access help for their unique situations.
