Job Summary The Finance Analytics team seeks a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Insurance and Claims Administration department. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data solutions that facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making. By leveraging Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS), the position will focus on transforming raw data into actionable insights that enhance strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Procurement Technology and Analytics. Responsibilities* Data Management & Reporting: Maintain and enhance Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) to streamline claims processing and administrative workflows. Design and develop scalable data models, structures, and reporting solutions to ensure streamlined access to risk management data. Extract and manipulate large datasets for comprehensive risk analysis, ensuring high data quality and consistency across environments. Develop and maintain clear documentation for BI processes, data models, and methodologies to ensure transparency and ease of future improvements. Dashboarding & Visualization: Develop advanced dashboards and reports that provide deep insights into key risk management metrics and performance indicators. Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create intuitive and user-friendly dashboards that simplify complex data insights for stakeholders. Risk Analytics: Perform in-depth risk management and claims data analyses to identify key trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Support departmental initiatives by providing data-driven recommendations based on detailed risk analysis findings, improving overall performance and mitigating potential risks. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with claims processing teams, risk managers, and senior leadership to understand reporting requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. Collaborate with the Finance Analytics, Business Enablement, and Central IT Services teams to ensure data integrity, streamline reporting processes, and enhance system performance across departments. Strategic Assessment & Improvement: Lead and participate in strategic initiatives to improve risk management through data-driven insights, analysis, and process optimization. Assess the efficiency of current reporting systems regularly and provide recommendations to improve the decision-making process and overall system performance. Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Risk Management, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, with a strong focus on risk management or claims administration. Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other platforms. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with databases, data warehouses, and managing large datasets. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for senior and executive leadership. Desired Qualifications* Experience with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS), especially RISKMASTER or similar systems. Strong familiarity with insurance claims processes and risk management reporting. Experience with data governance and best practices in data management. Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for more advanced statistical and data analysis tasks.
