INTRICON CORE VALUES: Collaboration Innovation Velocity Authenticity Inclusiveness POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting accounting and reporting functions within the finance group. This role plays a key part in problem solving accounting and finance challenges as they arise including, but not limited to, performing accounting research and documenting conclusions, ensuring assigned accounts are prepared in accordance with US GAAP, and analyzing and reporting on trends, variances, deviations from budget, etc. This role reports to the Accounting Manager coupled with significant partnering with the Controller and other finance leadership. This role will be responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts and recording journal entries. This position plays an integral role in closing the month accurately and on time. All positions are responsible for following applicable company policies and procedures as defined by their manager. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in month end close activities, including creating journal entries and reconciling accounts. Responsible for analyzing, reporting and presenting on financial project administration and research and development at a global level in conformance with Corporate policy standards and internal controls.* Principle areas of accountability include budgeting, profitability, utilization, time reporting, audit participation and project reporting to include consolidation of worldwide project reporting. Responsible to generate, analyze and interpret data related to research and development activities. Aid in reconciling and preparing documentation in support of the fixed asset ledger. FP&A Ad hoc, to include analysis of the operating expense accounts and other tasks as assigned in support of business drivers, variance analysis, and external reporting Ensure Intricon subsidiaries are in accordance with US GAAP Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing process improvements Key participant or driver in system automation changes and upgrades Ad hoc projects and assignments *Essential Functions PROFESSIONAL WORKPLACE BEHAVIORS: Accountability Analytical Attention to Detail Communication Cultivate Customer Relationships Continuous Attention to Process Improvement Embrace Differences Innovation Problem/Solving/Critical Thinking Teamwork QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other analytical business degree from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience. CPA or CMA preferred, but not required Experience: Minimal five (5) years of public accounting and/or industry experience that includes financial analysis and US GAAP Manufacturing industry experience preferred, but not required Skills: Technology - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & PowerPoint; very strong Excel. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Working Habits - Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively. Must be able to multi-task, manage time well and meet critical deadlines. Communication - Excellent interpersonal & communications skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills.
