Summary As a Battery Storage Maintenance Specialist, you'll ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our battery plants, handling everything from maintenance planning and troubleshooting to supporting new projects. You'll play a key role in refining our processes, engaging with industry experts, and contributing to the growth of our energy storage capabilities. Career Level Summary Senior Plant Maintenance Specialist/ 7325 Grade 7 Career Level: P3 Requires in-depth knowledge and experience Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions Works independently, receives minimal guidance Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience Principal Plant Maintenance Specialist/ 7326 Grade 8 Career Level: P4 Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations May lead functional teams or projects Key Responsibilities Senior Plant Maintenance Specialist/ 7325 Standards Maintains currency in state-of-the-art industry practices and provides guidance and direction on technical processes and standards to colleagues when requested. Supports plant improvements with extended knowledge of maintenance principles and local codes and standards. Applies knowledge to investigate, identify and clearly define plant problems and applies knowledge of the plant and plant control systems and processes to determine and deliver technical improvements on proposed equipment and systems Provides technical guidance and support to others. Production Prepares a variety of complex technical deliverables for larger or multiple projects; coordinates multiple discipline activity. Develops and provides quality assurance reviews of maintenance solutions that meet technical requirements, all applicable codes, regulatory requirements and follow sound practice. Maintains and reviews plant design basis documents. Project Coordination Actively coordinates with other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects, including representing the team to interdepartmental and external (regulatory) stakeholders. Plans, develops and coordinates projects with complex design, construction, operation, maintenance or testing elements in support of plant maintenance projects. Provides accurate capital budget and job estimates. Knowledge Sharing Serves as a technical specialist and provides consultation/guidance to project teams in a particular practice area; actively fosters knowledge management and provides mentoring; implements resource management strategy. Develops and delivers training of other technical specialists, engineers and crews on operations and maintenance practices and requirements. Provides and coordinates updates on critical safety and reliability topics to operations personnel. Participates in industry-related events for the purposes of benchmarking and learning about best practices. Principal Plant Maintenance Specialist/ 7326 Standards Maintains currency in state-of-the-art industry practices and discerns the need for and provides guidance and direction to colleagues on technical processes and standards. Leads plant improvements with expert knowledge of maintenance principles and local codes and standards. Applies plant and plant control system knowledge to investigate, identify and clearly define plant problems; provides technical guidance and support to others . Provides expert technical guidance on cost-effective maintenance solutions to others. Production Prepares a variety of complex technical deliverables for larger or multiple projects, including establishing work plans to be applied. Develops and provides quality assurance reviews of complex solutions that meet technical requirements, all applicable codes, regulatory requirements and follow sound practice. Maintains and reviews plant design basis documents Project Coordination Actively coordinates with other internal/external team members on complex projects, representing the team to internal and external stakeholders (i.e., regulatory, technical society, etc.). Leads projects with complex design, construction, operation, maintenance or testing elements in support of plant maintenance. Knowledge Sharing Actively advances knowledge management of the enterprise and provides mentoring; participates in professional societies and technical committees and may assist with code/standard authoring; is externally recognized in the industry as a technical expert; reviews work, resolves resource conflicts and identifies training needs. Qualifications Education/Experience/Certifications Senior Plant Maintenance Specialist/ 7325 Education Bachelor's degree preferred (Bachelor degree in project management, business or a related technical field) or equivalent related technical experience. Experience Typically five or more years of technical experience Principal Plant Maintenance Specialist/ 7326 Education Bachelor's degree preferred (Bachelor degree in project management, business or a related technical field) or equivalent related technical experience. Experience Typically eight or more years of technical experience Valid driver's license required. Competencies Functional Competencies - Senior Plant Maintenance Specialist 7325 / Principal Plant Maintenance Specialist 7326: Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of technical and economic principles and concepts. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of other disciplines and ability to interpret engineering deliverable content. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of plant mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of procurement and contract administration. Intermediate/Advanced ability to review, evaluate, and analyze technical information, policies, and reports. Compensation Range: $96,300.00 - $189,875.00 Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
