As a Senior Odor Control Technologist in our water business, you can play a key role across the full spectrum of consulting services from engineering evaluations and design to construction and startup/commissioning of odor control systems. Jacobs supports flexible working arrangements, but we seek a Richmond, Virginia home base for this position. Within our Richmond office we have an array of specialist skills in collections systems, water and wastewater treatment, and program management/construction management. We are looking for a One Water leader to serve as a senior technologist who can assist in the delivery of various odor control projects, while also building and sustaining trusted relationships with key clients in the Virginia area and across the East Central geography. In this role, you will: Actively share and apply best, and innovative, practices in odor control technology in coordination with the Jacobs Solutions Network Lead the development of technical approaches for odor control projects, which may include field assessments, odor dispersion modeling, studies and evaluations, design, construction, and start-up and commissioning of odor control systems Conduct quality control reviews of odor control work done by others Actively participate in sales processes by helping to identify and win new work, including identifying opportunities, assisting with the development of winning themes and approaches, writing of proposals, and taking part in the interview process Build our brand by representing Jacobs in the industry through writing and presenting papers at conferences, as well as coaching less experienced staff to do so. Drive a culture of learning and teaching, including helping technical staff to identify development goals and grow their skills under your leadership As a Senior Odor Control Technologist collaborating with Senior Project Management and One Water leadership throughout the East Central you will be responsible for integrating technical input, building relationships with internal and external clients, and coaching a range of less experienced professionals. A passion for the Water Business, specifically odor control technologies, and a desire to create the best outcomes for our clients Extensive experience in the evaluation, design, and implementation of odor control technologies for the water market Demonstrated track record (20+ years) in successful designs for the capture and treatment of fugitive odors at municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and collections systems, including the Virginia market Proven client and project development skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with"¯clients and stakeholders. Experience leading and mentoring teams to deliver odor control solutions, including development of concepts, task leadership for odor control work elements, and conducting quality reviews of work by others Engagement and/or leadership on local and national Water market networking and professional societies Excellent communication skills, both written and oral A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Active Professional Engineer license in the Commonwealth of Virginia Assigned/based out of the Richmond, Virginia area Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
