Description Home Search Jobs Job Description PCB Manufacturing Engineer Contract to Hire: Redmond, Washington, US Salary: $70.00 Per Hour Job Code: End Date: Days Left: 29 days, 3 hours left Apply Job Title: PCB Manufacturing Engineer Job Location: Redmond, WA 98052 Job Duration: 11 Months (Contract to hire) Pay Rate: $65/hr to $70/hr Job Description: PCB Fabrication Specialist We are seeking a skilled professional with direct experience in PCB fabrication, specifically in the building and creation of blank PCB boards from scratch. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the fabrication process, including tasks such as soldering, plating, and related activities. Key Qualifications: Hands-on experience in PCB fabrication, ideally gained from working at a PCB manufacturing company. Proficiency in the physical building of blank PCB boards, not just in design or layout. Understanding of the fabrication process, including soldering and plating. Note: This role is focused on the creation of blank PCB boards, not the assembly of components onto PCBs (PCBA). Experience in PCB assembly will not fulfill the requirements for this position. Extension/Conversion: Definitely possible next year once they get more HC Travel: Yes up to 50% to Taiwan and Korea Why is this open: They need additional help with the PBC teams, particularly with traveling to suppliers and helping with engineering issues Mission: To help the PCB manufacturing teams to ensure the PCBs can get manufactured. Day to Day: 3 categories DMF (Design for Manufacturing) Tasks: Ensure PCB designs are suitable for manufacturing. Verify correct spacing, layout, and design parameters. Actively participate in the design process. Root-Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting: Identify and analyze issues in PCBs or the manufacturing process. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to implement corrective actions. Supplier Qualification: Provide input to sourcing managers, quality teams, and suppliers regarding PCB specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Work directly with suppliers as needed. Travel: Visiting suppliers in Taiwan and Korea as a team Up to 50% travel Must-Have: Prior Experience: Must have worked as a PCB engineer, designer, or layout specialist with in-depth PCB knowledge. Not seeking someone focused on PCBA (assembly of components); assembly experience is not required. PCB Manufacturing Knowledge: Should have experience in complex PCB manufacturing processes. Key skills include expertise in: Micro VIA and DFMA (Design for Manufacturability) Supplier Collaboration: Experience working with suppliers is essential. Must have managed PCB fabrication throughout the entire PCB lifecycle, from design to final manufacturing-not just assembly or isolated manufacturing steps. Technical Proficiency: Must be familiar with TPM tools such as MS Office and EFM tools. No specific tool requirement, but must be comfortable working with technology.
