Agency Information: About the Lottery: In November of 1986, 64 percent of Kansas voters approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the creation of a state lottery. The Kansas Legislature passed the "Kansas Lottery Act" in 1987, and the Kansas Lottery was established. The mission of the Kansas Lottery is to produce the maximum amount of revenue possible for the State of Kansas while ensuring the integrity of all games. The Kansas Lottery sells $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, $20 and $30 scratch tickets and $1 and $2 instant pull tab games. Position Summary & Responsibilities Position Summary: Position is responsible for coordinating a statewide public information/advertising campaign. Serves as the primary liaison between the Lottery and the advertising agency. Incumbent ensures all Lottery advertising needs are met. Work is reviewed through performance and finished product. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Advertising Program Coordination and Oversight. Serves as the main point of contact for the advertising agency. Meets with agency officials to assist in establishing short and long-term marketing goals and objectives. Implements advertising campaigns to meet division goals and marketing plans. Monitor advertising expenditures to obtain maximum advertising effectiveness within budgetary limitations. Qualifications Education : Graduate from a four year college or university with 24 semester hours in Marketing. Licensing & Certification : Valid Kansas Driver's license upon hire and throughout employment. Minimum Qualifications : Organizational skills Ability to effectively negotiate. Be able to work with deadlines. Exceptional teamwork skills. Requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements : Must pass an extensive security background clearance prior to hire and is subject to periodic updates.
