Job Title: Regional Optometric Assistant Job Description Responsible for assisting the Optometrist with providing a thorough visual examination by performing preliminary testing, support duties, and post-exam follow-up. They will take the patient back, administer a specific series of tests, record the results, set them up in a room, and prepare them for the physician. Duties include documenting patient medications and pre-setting the phoropter, escorting patients out of the exam room, setting up recall, and transferring authority to the eyewear consultant. Typical Patient Volume: 10 - 25 Lunch: 1 hour unpaid lunch Testing Includes: Visual preliminary testing, including visual screening, blood pressure, tonometer, auto refraction, and auto keratometry. Schedule: Mon - Fri from 8:15 am - 6:45 pm, Saturday 8 am - 5:30 pm (if working Saturday, a day off will be rewarded during the week!) East Region: (Need to be comfortable commuting to these locations!!)
