This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects and be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.Job Description: As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems for our automotive production processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical control systems for automotive manufacturing equipment.Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other control devices.Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production staff, and other stakeholders to integrate control systems into manufacturing processes.Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure optimal performance.Implement and maintain safety standards and protocols.Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams.Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in electrical controls engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and HMI development.Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel design.Experience with industrial automation, robotics, and motion control systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the automotive industry.Preferred Skills:Experience with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).Familiarity with network communication protocols (e.g., EthernetIP, Modbus).Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.Certification in electrical or controls engineering is a plus.
