LHH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, IN. In this position, you will join a well-established engineering team and report to an Engineering Manager who supports innovation and both personal and professional development. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of manufacturing equipment and product lines, lead projects to improve results, implement Lean initiatives, and more. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $85,000-95,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive medical insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.***H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position***JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops effective manufacturing processes by evaluating product requirements and designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment to ensure desired resultsApply industry knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and tooling, and materials and collaborate with production associatesIdentify and resolve process operating problems, investigate equipment failures, draft follow-up action reports, and share technical assistance with workers on the floorConduct root cause analysis of quality issues during manufacturing processCoordinate with operations and management personnel to develop a shared vision for the completion of daily tasks and then report on those activitiesCollaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering staff as well as outside contractors to improve equipment care, services, repairs, and work practiceMonitor and improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow while optimizing space and equipment layoutIdentify new and creative solutions to resolve complex issues during the manufacturing processHandle additional duties as assigned by the Engineering ManagerQUALIFICATIONSBachelor Degree in Engineering is requiredMinimum of 3+ years of manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing setting is requiredMust have experience working on the production floor with various types of manufacturing equipmentMust possess the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagramsschematicsMust possess strong verbal and written communication skillsMust possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skillsMust be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervisionMust possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team***H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position***If you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this Manufacturing Engineer position in Indianapolis, IN then please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeteransDisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
