As a Rover GNC Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the Guidance, Navigation, and Control algorithms for their mining rover, guiding the system from the prototype phase to lunar surface operations.If working on cutting-edge space tech and getting hands-on with hardware for deep space excites you, join our client's team to help build a full-scale industrial base in space!ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership of GNC algorithms and simulations from concept to lunar surface operationsDesign and implement sensor fusion algorithms for perception and localizationDevelop path planning ConOps based on the analysis of the lunar environmentWrite efficient, reliable, and maintainable GNC code for the lunar roverCreate a plan for GNC system qualification before the initial lunar missionCollaborate with the Embedded Software team to integrate GNC algorithms onto custom spacefaring hardwareParticipate in architecture, design, and code reviewsRequired QualificationsA strong desire to help establish a permanent human presence off-EarthEvidence of exceptional engineering abilityDegree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, OR demonstrated engineering excellence through professional experience1-3 years of engineering experience, including internshipsPreferred QualificationsExperience on a GNC team in the new space industryExperience developing SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithms for robots or autonomous vehiclesProficiency in SimulinkMajor or minor in Computer ScienceEngineering with a strong academic recordLeadership experience in university project teamsExcellent communication skills
