Compensation : $55.69 - $55.69 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : Shift Description : Day shifts - 36 hours Travel Contract - Registered Nurse - Oncology Newark, New Jersey, United States - 07102Job Title: Travel Contract - Registered Nurse - Oncology Number of positions: 1 Shift: Day shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 08/16/2023 Hourly pay: $55.69 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $2,465 JOB DESCRIPTION Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. 12 weeks - required ONS chemo/immuno provider certification and OCN certification is preferred; varying start / end times; No Weekends or Holidays; Must be able to administer chemotherapy; will need to travel to sites within 40 miles when needed Department: Oncology Acute Shift Timings: Roles & Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Minimum three years of Oncology RN experience Active unencumbered New Jersey RN state license Chemo Certification Requirements: COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
