Summary To ensure that the estimate and/or project are finished in accordance with standards, the project engineer works with the preconstruction manager and project manager. Make sure the job is built in accordance with the project plans, and help with project controls, such as budgeting, scheduling, and planning. Help tradespeople interpret the job's designs. In some circumstances, a project engineer is tasked with helping the designated project manager with the planning and execution of one or more concurrent initiatives. For the divisions of preconstruction and construction, a project engineer is a versatile tool. An entry-level job with room for advancement, this one offers both. responsibilities and obligations • Assures the delivery of Integrity by working with honesty, cohesion, safety, and quality of work. • Must have the ability to multitask, be a team player, and take effort to improve both personally and professionally. • Recognize and use the invitation to bid procedure. • Help keep the Vendor directory correct and up to date. • Develop your ability to read and comprehend project requirements and drawings. • Interact with suppliers and subcontractors to establish partnerships. • Execute takeoffs with Planswift and Bluebeam. • Become familiar with and adopt the various Excel spreadsheets linked to preconstruction and construction. • Assist the Precon Team in analyzing subcontractor bids, evaluating, quantifying, and creating scopes of work for the project. • Create and keep up with the AVE Logs and Action Item Matrix. • Becomes intimately acquainted with the designated project plans and specifications to ensure project construction compliance. to record compliance, follow up on, review, and submit shop drawings, samples, material lists, and other submittals. • Takes action to ensure that information and documents needed for project building are received, reviewed, distributed, and filed. Includes necessary plan revisions, RFIs, submittals, photos, videos, and other materials. • Keeps logs that show the progress of shop drawings, requests for clarification, requests for changes, and requests for proposals. • Evaluates the constructability of the designs. explains contradictions to the builder using Requests for Information. • Examines strategies for other cost-cutting measures and possible labor savings. informs the project team and responsibility of these. • Participates in project team meetings and takes notes, including weekly Owner/Architect meetings and meetings for subcontractor collaboration. distributes the minutes of the conference to the attendees. • Establishes dates for getting shop drawings and other benchmarks necessary to prevent project delays while collaborating with the Superintendent and Project Manager to create the project schedule. • As required, participates in project timeline updates. • Disseminates weekly project status reports. • Helps skilled contractors create scopes of work and submit bids. • Assists in compiling and preparing documents and trainings for project closeout as needed by specifications. • Reviews field procedures and final installation of structural elements to ensure compliance of the work. • Observes and evaluates work practices in order to counsel the superintendent on how to increase output effectiveness. • Fosters a mindset of safety. Observe all safety regulations, guidelines, and practices. • Updates and implements document management, quality, and collaboration tools. • Completes additional related tasks as requested or given. Qualifications • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction administration, or a closely related discipline, or the equivalency in training and experience. • Effective vocal and written communication abilities. Clearly and effectively expresses oneself when speaking with both people and groups. By using appropriate order and grammar in writing, one demonstrates poise and command of the language. • Flexibility: Willingness to change behavior and plans as needed to achieve an objective. • Cooperation: Ability to work well with others. takes the time to assist clients, coworkers, and others in completing their tasks and objectives. • Learning Capacity: Possesses the capacity and desire to quickly acquire new knowledge pertaining to one's job. • The capacity to comprehend and put into practice OSHA and workplace safety regulations. • Problem-solving: Addresses practical issues and takes into account a variety of variables in circumstances where there is little standardization; deciphers a wide range of intricate directions. • Has a track record of accomplishing ambitious goals, is a self-starter, works well without constant supervision, and knows how to manage events to achieve objectives. • The capacity to interpret and comprehend blueprints. • Preferably, one year of prior field training. • Preferable working understanding of scheduling software. • It would be advantageous to have some rudimentary Spanish language comprehension and communication skills. • Technical Proficiency - The capacity to rapidly learn new software applications and integrate them into processes. #LI-Onsite
