Description Position: Learning and Development Program Manager (Bilingual English/Spanish) Reports to: Senior People Operations Manager Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 Position Role Type: 100% Onsite Location: 104 Peavey Road, Chaska, MN 55318 Purpose of Position: The Learning and Development Program Manager (Bilingual English/Spanish) is instrumental in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our manufacturing production employees. This role emphasizes individual and group development, spanning from the hiring process through long-term retention. Specific job duties include: Lead the Learning and Development program for the Minnesota division, collaborating with counterparts in other divisions to organize content and best practices. Collaborate with external resources and third parties to enhance program effectiveness. Develop and deliver technical training programs for all manufacturing facility levels, encompassing content development, curriculum design, and program coordination. Create instructional materials, such as training manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and multimedia content. Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing production employee Skills Matrix, including content creation, facilitation, and ensuring training program effectiveness. Utilize adult learning principles and instructional technologies to enhance training program effectiveness. Implement hands-on training methods within each unique work area to develop a competent workforce. Conduct needs assessments to identify technical knowledge and skills gaps within the organization. Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, making continuous improvements based on feedback and outcomes. Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), managing e-learning, testing, qualifications, and evaluations. Act as the primary liaison for new employees, providing personalized support throughout their onboarding journey. Develop proactive outreach strategies to ensure new hires feel welcomed and supported from day one. Collaborate with HR, managers, and team members to create a seamless onboarding experience aligned with the organization's culture and values. Facilitate orientation sessions and introductions to key team members, departments, and company policies. Monitor and track new employee onboarding progress, implementing adjustments as needed. Promote training opportunities, workshops, and resources to empower employee skills and professional growth. Organize team-building activities, social events, and networking opportunities to foster a culture of inclusivity and belonging. Review progress reports with Production Supervisors and Managers regularly. Develop and implement 30, 60, and 90-day benchmarks for trainee performance. Collaboratively develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for production employees. Conduct retraining for employees not adhering to training or standard operating procedures. Ensure employees have completed appropriate qualifications for their assigned positions. Align training programs with organizational goals in collaboration with HR, department heads, and stakeholders. Perform additional duties and projects as required to support the HR team and manufacturing department. #RICHMOND #SRCchaska Requirements Qualifications: Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required. Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience highly desired. Proven experience in Instructional Design, Education, Training, or related field. Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment preferred. Experience organizing and facilitating team-building activities. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional technologies, and learning management systems. Flexible schedule to accommodate varying production needs. Ability to measure and assess staff training needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. High energy level, enthusiasm, and positive demeanor. Ability to work with and support different personality types to achieve training objectives.
