Job Title Administrative Associate III (Academic Advising Services) Agency Prairie View A&M University Department University College - Academic Advising Proposed Minimum Salary $12.07 hourly Job Location Prairie View, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Administrative Associate III will work under the supervision of the Director of Academic Advising Services and the position will serve as the primary point of contact for the advisement center. This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Responsibilities: Provides administrative support to the Director and assistant directors of Academic Advising Services. Provides administrative assistance for the front desk for Academic Advising Services and the Office of Student Success, greets visitors, answers and screens telephone calls, and takes messages. Makes arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel. May set up meetings, seminars, and other special events to include facilities, equipment, and food Maintains office supplies and equipment. Maintains office reference materials, including online office materials. May deliver, pick up, or receive documents, supplies, equipment, or materials. May coordinate activities and assign work to student workers and support staff. May participate in the hiring training and supervising student workers and other support staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of related experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
