Newark , OH Position Title: Japanese-English Bilingual IT Specialist for Japan Systems Business Unit: IT Reporting Title: Senior Vice President Date Updated: Prepared by: Human Resources I. Summary (Job Scope): Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and implementing essential production and home-office interface software and hardware for Japan operations. This includes AS400, MC Frames, and specialized Japanese software. Tasks involve managing and maintaining global systems related to Japan headquarters, as well as developing new systems and enhancements. Reporting to Operations, Executive Management, and Japan HQ IT as necessary. Collaboration with local IT personnel may be required. II. Major Responsibilities: Develop and implement improvement and maintenance procedures for AS400, MC Frames, and global information systems software and equipment. Independently prepare for internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulations, often of a sensitive and confidential nature. Create and implement contingency plans based on third-party or business requirements. III. Background Requirements: Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Proficient in Windows OS, AS400. Knowledge of network architecture, system architecture, and coding fundamentals essential for infrastructure maintenance. Strong written and oral communication skills. Fluent in Japanese. Familiarity with various software and hardware. Training in MC Frames, AS400 related systems, including Japan-specific IT training. Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent technical background. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in computer systems maintenance or equivalent skills. 2 years of related experience, including Microsoft networking, TCP/IP, PC support, Active Directory, Cisco switching, and AS400.
