As a Manager of Procurement Services (MOPS) for Life Sciences North America you will manage a team of professional employees and section managers. In addition to these operational duties, the MOPS will provide oversight and direct support, typically as a Project Procurement Manager, on Jacobs' largest and most challenging Projects. Share your career accomplishments with a stout Supply Management team as you oversee the procurement operations for our Conshohocken, PA Office. Effectively and proactively plan, coordinate, and control the execution of the procurement activities on key projects while maintaining responsibility for day-to-day department management obligations. As the Manager of Procurement Services, you ensure on-time performance, cost savings, and high-quality metrics across your teams' projects, while simultaneously accomplishing objectives and value-added expectations for the department and the Business Unit. The MOPS has thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices within the engineering and construction industry, including demonstrated experience in purchasing, subcontracting, expediting, supplier quality management and material control. The Manager of Procurement Services (MOPS) reports directly to the Director of Operations for the office which they are assigned while maintaining an indirect connection with the Director of Procurement Services for the Business Unit. While supporting Jacobs' Projects, the MOPS may also report indirectly to the assigned Project Manager. The ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills are paramount • Bachelor's degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management field, , or equivalent years of project experience in lieu of degree • 10+ years of experience in engineering and/or capital construction purchasing, contracting, expediting, supplier quality management and material management • Preferred - 5+ years of experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects • Understands the technical, organizational, managerial and business issues related to Procurement on large, capital, projects • Understands overall corporate resources and capabilities of EPC/CM Projects Ideally you'll have: • Masters degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management field preferred, but not required • Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills. • Strong communication, organization, and management abilities.
