Job Description The pharmacy beacon analyst serves as a part of the healthcare team at the MSHS and collaborates with other team members to provide optimal oncology care. The beacon analyst accepts responsibility, authority, accountability, and ownership for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures. They will be responsible for working with other clinical teams and end users within the organization and other outside parties as necessary to build and validate protocols/plans, configure and troubleshoot operational workflows and other technical issues. The analyst will configure, test, and coordinate Epic changes according to the decisions made by operational and technical SME's. They will participate in initiatives by gathering and analyzing information, preparing structure documentation, present findings, and general troubleshooting as necessary. They will also provide clinical related support for cancer facilities across the system, which may include leading and participating in committees. s. Qualifications Two years working hospital oncology experience as beacon pharmacist. Knowledge of pharmacy oncology Experience in epic as a pharmacist end user Experience as an epic builder Able to independently build treatment and protocols plans. Expert in treatment plan conversion and desensitization regimen. Have support experience in areas such as lymphoma, multiple myeloma, BMT, and leukemia. Clinical Epic build skills in areas such as therapeutic infusion and research Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement process is necessary, as well as the ability to successfully integrate these into practice. Able to create presentations, intermediate or expert use of Microsoft Office applications License Certification Licensure/Certification/Registration: Active Epic Beacon Certification Active licensed pharmacist Registered NYS pharmacist (must transfer within 6 months of hire date) Additional Skills Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Analytical skills necessary to review, build, and execute appropriate request. Demonstrate flexibility with respect to changing requirements. The willingness to learn new epic software skills and relevant oncology systems. The salary range for this role is $86.10 - $86.10 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. , 600 - HSO Pharmacy - MSH, Mount Sinai Hospital Responsibilities As a beacon pharmacist you contribute to serve the excellence mission of Mount Sinai, more specifically the pharmacist drives the design of our EHR to support and enhance the delivery of patient care in the practice of oncology. The beacon pharmacist functions as a resource to other members of the healthcare team in utilization of clinical EHR in the acute care and ambulatory environments, with special emphasis on medication safety; carries out all aspects of the job using good clinical judgment and problem-solving skills and assumes responsibility. The beacon pharmacist is responsible for creating and maintaining a library of oncology treatment plans, supportive care plans, and therapy plans for standard patient care and research. They will also contribute to the effective process and workflow design, development and implementation within the EHR. Guide building and testing of Beacon changes/updates and analyzes other technical issues. Identify and implement requested oncology medication changes to Epic. Serve as a liaison between end users workflow needs and Epic (WI). Work collaboratively with organization stakeholders and relevant epic teams to ensure the system meets the organizations business needs including deliverables and timelines. Troubleshoot problems and questions. Review status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership. Participate in weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end user concerns, and upcoming milestones. Maintain current knowledge of all practice standards as well as policies and procedures that are supported by clinical applications Maintain active pharmacist licensures, meet NYS required CE's, and active Epic beacon certification.
