Employment Type: Full-time Hybrid Schedule: 3 days In-office / 2 Remote Salary: $93,000 - $120,000 Level: Mid We have an open position for an Electrical Design Engineer at our office in Long Beach or Irvine - you could be a perfect fit. General Responsibilities Prior experience working on Healthcare/Hospitals building Duties: Pre-Design Engineering Review existing as-built drawings. Perform field investigations. Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines. Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables. Perform feasibility studies. Prepare schematic designs. Design Engineering Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE. Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules. Design lighting selection and controls. Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems. Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies. Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) systems a plus Design Complexity Performs routine engineering work applying standard techniques. Performs basic engineering calculations. Prepares construction estimates and specifications for small size projects.
