(Based on Experience)SUMMARYKelly Engineering is looking to hire a qualified Process Engineer to join the R&D Team for our client located in Sunnyvale, CA. This opportunity is a 6-month contract with the possibility of an extension. The Process Engineer (Array R&D) will be responsible for supporting Biochip Array R&D activities and microarray printing. This role is central and highly visible, requiring communication across various groups. Intellectual honesty and agility, with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities and balance multiple projects seamlessly in a fast-paced environment, are crucial.RESPONSIBILITIESLearn and consistently perform microarray print runs, review results, and provide troubleshooting support as neededEngage in problem-solving and continuously seek improvements in routine microarray printing processesManage the inventory of commonly used lab supplies and chemicals, maintain equipment information, equipment procedures, calibration records, user logbooks, and scheduling activitiesRegularly collect, document, summarize, and communicate data and trendsREQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in a relevant engineering disciplineOver 2 years of relevant industry experience (BiotechMolecular DiagnosticsMedical Device)Proficiency and accuracy in handling small volume preparationsExperience with analytical techniques such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, etc.Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with experience in both written and electronic documentationMeticulous attention to detailPREFERREDBONUS EXPERIENCEMicroarray printingExperience using liquid handlersExperience working in regulated environments
