The Officer, Corporate Relations will join a team of four fundraising professionals focused on corporate gifts, ultimately raising >$4mm. This creative and dynamic team always strives for innovative ways to engage corporations in our work and invest in our programs, strategies, and vision.ABOUT THE OFFICER, CORPORATE RELATIONSIn this vital role at New York Cares, the Officer, Corporate Relations is instrumental in developing and nurturing partnerships with over 100 corporate entities. Tasked with raising over $1.25 million for community programs, you will drive innovative fundraising strategies, manage key relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to support corporate volunteer programs. Working closely with the Senior Officer, Corporate Relations, your efforts in strategic planning and donor stewardship will significantly advance our mission. This position offers the opportunity to make a substantial impact, connecting corporate resources with the needs of diverse New York communities.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIESManage a portfolio of over 100 active, lapsed, and prospect corporate funders, executing engagement and stewardship plans to build stronger relationships, retain donors, and upgrade gift amounts. Skillfully build and maintain rapport with various external and internal stakeholders, including donors, clients, and partners, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.Work cross-functionally with Signature Partnerships & Events and Community Relations & Program Design teams in supporting corporate volunteer programs, ensuring quality stakeholder experience.Manage and assess donor tracking systems to 1) track donors and prospective donors through the sales pipeline, 2) the efficacy of fundraising tactics and messages, and 3) portfolio performance.Develop and execute fundraising practices that elevate organizational performance, effectively translating strategies into practical tasks.Advance equitable fundraising practices, educating corporate supporters on best practices.Conduct research and analysis on donor-giving patterns to inform fundraising strategies.QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will have corporate engagement experience in a mission-driven social enterprise or nonprofit, showing flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact fluidly with various stakeholders.A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience (or high school equivalency and 5+ years' experience) in a fundraising or fundraising-related department (e.g. sales, account management, etc.) with demonstrated experience raising funds, excellent stakeholder stewardship, andor related tasks. Excellent project management skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plans work activities, use time efficiently, follow instructions, and responds to management direction.Superb communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.Understands social nuances, practices, and world views of people of various backgrounds, identities, and cultures. Leverages that understanding to effectively interact with people of diverse communities.Possesses a strong future-orientation, demonstrates an eagerness to collaborate and contribute to team goals.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using Salesforce, Apollo, andor similar technical systems PENSATIONThe salary for this role is $70,000-$74,000.Salary is just one component of New York Cares' total compensation package.
