Job Function: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs to machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems. Essential Functions: Perform a variety of installations and preventative maintenance on plant and facility equipment. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment including electrical and plumbing, insuring equipment is in good repair and in a safe operating condition. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair pumps, boilers, steam system, water system, hydraulic system, pneumatic system, and any fluid system as applies. Be familiar with the plant facility and general operations of same. Handle tools and equipment properly and to use required protective gear. Perform light welding, grinding and cutting. Comply with all Federal State and Company Safety Guidelines and procedures. Participate in the development of preventative maintenance procedures for various pieces of equipment. Responsible for wastewater treatment operations. Work with little supervision. Some overtime and/or weekend work may be required, as well as holiday work. Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-3 years maintenance mechanic experience preferred. High level of demonstrated mechanical experience and aptitude required. Experience with maintenance on blow mold equipment a plus. Experience with welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration, machinery repair and PLC troubleshooting and programs. Strong analytical and computer skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently and a part of a team. Physical Demands: Constant (100% of the time): Walk Lift or carry 10lbs of less Frequently (up to 66% of the time) Lift and carry up to 20lbs Type/ use a keyboard Bending, squatting & kneeling Twist/turn/climb/crawl/reach outward and above shoulders/stand Exposure to all weather conditions Driving (automatic): only when assigned to operate vehicles, forklifts, or similar equipment Occasionally (up to 33% of the time) Lift/carry up to 100lbs Sitting: only when assigned to operate vehicles, forklifts, or similar equipment Squat/Kneel/Climb Pushing/pulling up to 100lbs Driving (standard): only when assigned to operate vehicles, forklifts, or similar equipment SQF Requirements/Responsibilities: Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner. This job requires occasional use of a respirator. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910.134) requires respirator users to be fit tested to confirm the fit of any respirator that forms a tight seal on your face before using it in the workplace.
