Position Overview We are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer with experience in designing and fielding Mil Standard Electro Optical Systems, particularly in enclosure and environmental design. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for developing ruggedized enclosures and ensuring environmental resilience for EO systems deployed in challenging military environments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical defense and security missions while gaining valuable experience in the field of Electro Optical systems. Responsibilities Support the mechanical design and development of Mil Standard Electro Optical Systems, with a focus on enclosure design and environmental protection. Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, specifications, and performance objectives related to enclosure design and environmental resilience. Assist in creating detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for ruggedized enclosures and system components using CAD software. Participate in environmental analysis and testing to ensure compliance with military standards and specifications (e.g., MIL-STD-810). Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for thermal management, shock and vibration mitigation, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support prototype fabrication, testing, and production of enclosure components. Assist in providing technical expertise and support to junior engineers and team members. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements: Secret Clearance ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with exposure to designing and fielding Mil Standard Electro Optical Systems, including enclosure and environmental design. Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Pro/ENGINEER. Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Interest in environmental testing standards and procedures, including thermal, shock, vibration, and EMI testing. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Travel Up to 25% Global Comp $140,000 - $160,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
