Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a strong background in project management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in civil engineering principles, a proven track record in managing construction projects, and excellent communication skills. As a Civil Engineer working with our team based out of Island Heights, NJ, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: 1/. Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive project plans and designs. Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to assess project viability and potential challenges. 2/. Project Management: Manage and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. 3/. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare detailed project budgets, including material and labor costs. Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure projects stay within budget constraints. 4/. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects. 5/. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they impact the project. 6/. Communication and Coordination: Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate project objectives, updates, and timelines. Coordinate with various teams to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any issues that may arise during construction. 7/. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address challenges and make informed decisions to keep projects on track. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ. Proven experience in managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion. Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
