Overview Halifax Health is seeking a Business Coordinator for our Environmental Services Department. Summary The Halifax Health Support Services Business Coordinator is a motivated, results-oriented team player that coordinates and processes daily functions associated with Halifax Health Support Services. Job Qualifications Associate degree (required) or bachelor's degree in business (preferred) Technical skillset requires proficiency in: Microsoft Teams - Outlook, Excel, OneDrive, OneNote Excel - data management, manipulation and dataset development Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems Timekeeping, Procurement & Payment platforms Ability to quickly master new technology platforms as introduced Organize and management of electronic records, retention & filing Literary proficiency to review and comprehend contractual terms and conditions Job Duties and Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES : Daily reconciliation of Halifax rental bed utilization reports with vendor invoicing to determine billing accuracy. Communicate discrepancies to clinical units and follow up on corrections. Liaison with Human Resources to facilitate departmental orientation and onboarding for new hires and contract labor. Aids supervisors with scheduling candidate interviews. Processes employee corrective actions, terminations and job reclassifications Kronos timekeeper for the EVS department. Update Paid Leave requests, missed clock ins/outs and other adjustments to the time management system as needed. Supports the Director of Operations in cost containment efforts to meet budget objectives Maintain accurate records for waste stream manifests, permits and certifications. Utilize purchase requisition system for operational and capital expense purchases. Learn and stay up to date with changes in the procurement process. Assist Director of Operations with the patient experience surveys as needed. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Healthcare office setting - Computer based filing and documentation. Meeting attendance as required. Interaction in patient care settings and support locations as needed.
