Compunetics, Inc. is a manufacturer of state-of-the-art rigid and flexible circuit boards producing products from fast turn high tech multilayer circuit board prototypes to non-traditional, high density and high-speed interconnects which serve a wide variety of customer requirements Compunetics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to participate in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment in a hands-on PCB manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will spend half of the time in the production area. Responsibilities: Operate several pieces of equipment Evaluate existing work instructions and procedures with the goal of improving quality of items produced Streamline operations and reduce costs Gather and review manufacturing data and metrics Perform tasks in support of Engineering and Quality Team This is not an office position, 50% of the time is spent working on the shop floor In time, take ownership of selected and related process control efforts, this step will require direct supervision of operators Requirements: BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering Experience in a manufacturing environment with involvement or responsibility for process control is preferred Exposure to a manufacturing environment is a plus, internships or temporary work would be considered suitable Past or active service in any branch of the Military is a strong plus Ability to follow instructions with attention to details Complete basic production tasks Basic computer skills required Familiarity with SPC techniques and software, process control, quality metrics is preferred We offer competitive wages and an excellent benefits package. *As a condition of employment, candidates MUST be a US Citizen. * An Equal Opportunity Employer.
