JOB MISSION: The primary function of the Manager is to ensure the right business tools, resources and solutions are deployed to effectively deliver materials for the sourced factories. To accomplish this mission, you will perform the critical role of material planning for all our Apparel sourced factories. Success in this role will require achieving on-time delivery of all orders in support of on-time service to our Global Markets at the lowest possible cost and the least amount of liability. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Direct all Material Planning functions within the Sourced Apparel Supply Chain. * Oversee the development, implementation, execution and maintenance of policies, procedures and systems to support all aspects of responsible functions, e.g. the material commitment process, etc. * Develop and implement methods and procedures to drive continuous improvement, create efficiencies, reduce cost, and improve service to the New Balance markets. * Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks. Measure actual performance against goals, and coach supply chain teams in resolving variances and improving performance. KPI's include on-time delivery, excess materials, usage of excess materials, etc. * Design Material Forecasting, Planning, and acquisition strategies and processes; that effectively balance material inventory levels goals and market service while ensuring inventory accuracy and cost minimization. * Represent Material Planning in all cross-functional meetings and interface with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Product Management, Development, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, etc. on all planning and related issues. * Drive toward a future Material Planning vision of an evolved Apparel Planning team. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: * 10+ years supply chain experience; required * Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills; required * Strong Excel, PowerPoint & Business Information System data mining skills; required * CPIM Certification; required * International travel; required Regular Associate Benefits Our products are only as good as the people we hire, so we make sure to hire the best and treat them accordingly.
