Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with expertise in telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Telemetry Nurse, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and caring for patients with cardiac conditions, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities: Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, EKG rhythms, and cardiac activity using telemetry equipment. Assessment and Documentation: Perform thorough assessments of patients' conditions, document observations, and maintain accurate medical records. Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans. Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal recovery and disease management. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and alert healthcare providers as necessary. Quality Care: Adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Technology Proficiency: Maintain proficiency in operating telemetry equipment and other medical devices used in cardiac monitoring. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as hospital policies and procedures. Ethical Practice: Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in patient care and interactions with colleagues. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice. BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on telemetry or cardiac care. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety. Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Telemetry Nursing (CTN). Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
