Overview Cut Fruit and Vegetable Helper Clerks participate in production and presentation of cut fruit and vegetables in the produce department's chop shop. They provide excellent, professional customer service and build and maintain produce displays and rotate back stock and sales floor product as needed. This position is typically scheduled in the early morning. Everyone at PCC is expected to: Collaborate Demonstrate Kindness Focus on the customer Instill trust Value diversity Main Job Responsibilities Provides excellent, professional customer service Participates in product presentation and production in the Chop Shop Washes, peels, and cuts produce items to order following PCC guidelines and procedures Packages and labels cut fruit and vegetables for grab-and-go cases Follows department merchandising standards and procedures, including stocking sales floor grab-and-go case Stocks and merchandises Chop Shop items Other support in the produce department as needed Follows department safe food handling procedures Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met Operates all equipment in accordance with PCC standards Other duties as needed or required Qualifications and Skills Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer service Strong knife skills demonstrated through work experience At least one year of kitchen or produce experience specifically preferred Must have excellent organizational, multitasking and communication skills Available to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, mids, evenings and weekends Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10 - 40lbs. regularly A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required Benefits and Perks Additional $1.25/hour Night Differential when applicable.
