Cherry Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a mission to improve the health and wellness of individuals by providing comprehensive primary and behavioral health care while encouraging access by those who are underserved. We are looking to hire a qualified Outpatient Therapist who has a passion for responding to an ever-growing need for substance abuse treatment in West Michigan. The Outpatient Therapist will work with adult patients in an individual and group setting in our community who are experiencing addictions to opiate substances along with co-occurring mental health disorders. This individual may have the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some days onsite and some days working remotely. We are looking to hire a qualified Outpatient Therapist who has a passion for responding to an ever-growing need for substance abuse treatment in West Michigan. The Outpatient Therapist will work with adult patients in an individual and group setting in our community who are experiencing addictions to opiate substances along with co-occurring mental health disorders. These positions are full-time, benefit-eligible, and typically work Monday through Friday normal business hours (but some additional hours outside of regular business hours may occasionally be required in order to fulfill clinical documentation requirements). Requirements: One of the following professional licenses in the State of Michigan: Master of Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP). LLMSW, LLPC, or TLLP licenses are acceptable - as determined by program requirements. Must have a CAADC certification through MCBAP or apply for a Development Plan within 30 days of hire. 3-5 years of previous mental health and/or substance abuse assessment and treatment experience preferred Experience facilitating groups is preferred Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and other Evidenced Based Treatment models Responsibilities: Provide evidence-based practices for individual, group, family, and/or couple therapy -- which includes, at a minimum, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Coordinate with community, referral and funding sources to provide needed services. Maintain timely clinical documentation that adheres to CARF, Community Mental Health (CMH), and Agency standards.
