This is a contract role for an agency Fastening Engineer at OEM in Dearborn, MI. The Fastening Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing fastening solutions for automotive components. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting analysis, and ensuring the quality and reliability of fastening systems in vehicle assembly. Skills Required: Experience in fastening technologies, joining methods, materials, fastener design, testing, and implementation Knowledge of automotive engineering principles and materials Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to work on-site in Dearborn, MI Travel required - outside of SE Michigan Experience Required: 2 or more years experience in Manufacturing Engineering Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Additional Information: The position will be Hybrid. Mainly in the Dearborn area but will require work in our plants across North America. (travel required). Travel should be about 10-20%, depends on installation issues and program install timing.
