Responsibilities: Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, contractors, visitors, and guests Optimize plant performance and reliability in collaboration with the Director of Cement Operations Provide input into plant capital and operating plans and manage budget costs Assume full responsibility for the plant in the Director of Cement Operations' absence Coordinate production activities with maintenance, process, and quality control activities Manage the Shift Teams to ensure production requirements are met Ensure maintenance and operation of equipment is at optimal levels Address operating methods, procedures, and opportunities for production quality and efficiencies Identify and address corresponding training needs of plant staff Support the company's purchasing initiative and ensure purchasing policies are adhered to Oversee the plant Quality Control Department to meet product specifications and production goals Participate in community activities to promote plant/community relations Ensure compliance with plant policies & procedures, safety, and environmental regulations Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred Minimum of 5 years of cement plant management experience Technical competency in the cement finish grinding process Managerial and leadership competencies Financial acumen and analytical skills Excellent communication and leadership skills Proficiency with PC software programs and OSHA regulations Preferred Experience and Skills: Experience at multiple cement plants Strong technical expertise, trainings, and certifications Work Environment: Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions Benefits: Large support network to generate success Opportunities to grow within a large global organization Competitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan Highly competitive benefits programs 401k retirement savings plan with company contributions Employer Statement: Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled
