Hill International is seeking a Material Manager in Seattle, WA Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to identify owner-furnished materials required for the project. Develop procurement plans and schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials according to project milestones. Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of owner-furnished materials to the project site. Manage transportation logistics, including scheduling and tracking shipments to prevent delays and ensure materials arrive in good condition. Verify delivery receipts and ensure that materials match specifications and quantities outlined in project documents. Establish and maintain an inventory management system for tracking owner-furnished materials throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular inventory audits to monitor stock levels, identify discrepancies, and update records accordingly. Coordinate with onsite personnel to manage storage, handling, and security of materials to prevent loss, damage, or theft. Maintain accurate documentation of all owner-furnished materials, including purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, and delivery receipts. Generate regular reports on material status, including procurement progress, delivery schedules, and inventory levels. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates on material availability, issues, and resolutions. Ensure that all owner-furnished materials meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with quality control teams to conduct inspections and testing as necessary to verify material compliance. Address any non-conformance issues promptly, coordinating with suppliers and project teams to implement corrective actions. Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to owner-furnished materials, fostering positive relationships with Shipyard, suppliers, and subcontractors. Facilitate regular meetings with project teams to review material requirements, procurement status, and logistics plans. Provide timely responses to inquiries and requests for information related to owner-furnished materials. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field preferred Minimum 10 years of experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain management Experience in vessel construction management is preferred Understanding of procurement processes, inventory control and logistics required Strong organizational and planning skills Proficient in inventory management software Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills Must be willing to work full time on site The salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
