This opportunity is open to U.S. based candidates. Preference given to candidates within four hours of Sioux Falls, SD. The typical hiring pay for this position is $23.00/hour to $28.00/hour. Daktronics is currently seeking a law student between their second and third year to join our team for the summer of 2025 as our Summer Legal Associate."¯ "¯As a Summer Associate your primary focus will be on special projects which will require you to flex your legal research and writing skills."¯ You'll be asked to draft detailed legal memoranda and reports summarizing research findings, offering legal analysis, and making recommendations. In addition, you may assist in the review, drafting and negotiation of sales contracts and other agreements and work with staff counsel to analyze risk on various commercial transactions."¯"¯ There will be a strong need for you to summarize and communicate legal concepts in an accessible way for use by business people."¯"¯ We continually strive for process improvement and value your opinion on how we can do things better (following Lean Office principles). Qualifications Academic Requirements: The preferred candidate will be working towards a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school along with excellent academic credentials. Preference is given to 2L students."¯"¯ Only strong academic performers will be considered. Must"¯maintain"¯an acceptable GPA, preference to 3.0 GPA or greater."¯"¯ Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.
