Description Seeking a meticulous and innovative Controller to join our finance team at ROI Construction in Millersville, MD. Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 Responsibilities • Handle any ad hoc finance/accounting requests that come up in the day-to-day •The role will primarily involve overseeing and completing the organization's financial activities, including journal entries, month-end close, quarterly-end close, year-end close, and balance sheet account reconciliations •Prepare timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports •Run payroll for employees and subcontractors weekly •Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including payroll taxes, income tax, and other necessary reports/filings (e.g. 940, 941, W-2, etc.) •Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions •Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations •Ensure accurate job costing and follow job close-out procedures •Collaborate with various departments (operations, sales, project management, inventory manager) to ensure seamless integration of financial data with operational activities •Perform annual workers comp audits Qualifications •The position of Controller at ROI Construction in Millersville, MD, US requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Construction Experience is a must •A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is necessary for this role. •Applicants must have experience serving as a controller in a company with an annual revenue ranging from $25M to $100M. •Proficiency with QBO (Accounting software) is a mandatory qualification. •Thorough understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and relevant compliance regulations is essential. •Experience in Mergers and acquisitions would be considered a strong asset. •Familiarity with Acculynx (CRM) is a desirable skill. •Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. •Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential attributes for this position. •The ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines is crucial. •Candidates should be adept at working in a fast-paced environment and navigating through ambiguity and complexity effectively. •High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality are key characteristics sought for this role.
