Lead Fleet Mechanic

By 2025, we aim to donate and recycle 100% of all reusable items we remove from residential and commercial jobs, thereby setting the standard for eco-friendly disposal practices. We're looking for an experienced mechanic who can manage & repair issues on our fleet of vehicles. Does this sound like you? Keep reading! About you: You like to get your hands dirty. You are a creative problem solver who takes pride in diagnosing and fixing vehicle issues. You take pride in conducting preventative maintenance, knowing that healthy vehicles last longer & perform at their best. You also enjoy reactive maintenance, where you troubleshoot solutions when things go wrong. You are tech savvy, professional, and looking to find a long-term career in a great environment Job Requirements: 3+ years of vehicle mechanic experience (Isuzu gas & diesel truck experience preferred) Effective in-person, phone & email communicator Experience in team environments Valid drivers license with clean driving record (for insurance purposes) 21 or older (for insurance purposes) Compensation & benefits: Starting hourly rate of $20 - $30/hour, dependent on experience Eligible for additional monetary bonuses based upon performance Health insurance, vision & dental offered 401K Plans offered Employee discount program Successful candidates will: Be committed to WOW-ing our customers with exceptional service Maintain a persistently positive attitude Be a team player with some basic common sense and excellent communication skills Be hardworking and enjoy physical labor Be knowledgeable and comfortable in presenting our service to prospective customers Excel in a position of independence and responsibility Give 110% in everything you do Own a WORKING smartphone (required) Be able/willing to promptly commute to Junkluggers HQ in Stamford CT.
