Work Location: Clearlake , Texas Work Hours: Variable PRN M-F 8a-5p Department Highlights: Customer service scores 95% and higher Center of Excellence award Piece of Pie Bonuses for exceeding volume Here is what you will need: Texas Medical Board License - MRT Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience. Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years. Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred. A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist: Provide services and support for the following areas: Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies. Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate. Effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health. Maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills. Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees. Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique. Complete appropriate documentation. Perform quality control functions related to mammography. Assist in the compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
