AGENCY OVERVIEW: Jewish Family and Children's Services (JFCS) has served the San Francisco Bay Area for 175 years. The Center for Children and Youth (CCY) program offers specialized services for children, expert parenting guidance, and youth initiatives including mental health support. We also advocate for public policy changes to benefit young people, working with policymakers, schools, parents, youth, community coalitions, and advocacy groups to develop and advance solutions. JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the CCY Associate Clinical Director, the Child/Adolescent Therapist is responsible for providing assessment, therapeutic intervention, psychoeducation, and consultation services for children, adolescents, and their families. The Child/Adolescent Therapist works as part of an interdisciplinary team to support children, adolescents, and their families. Our team includes other therapists, psychologists, a pediatric psychiatrist, occupational therapists, and parenting coaches. The Child/Adolescent Therapist understands and assists in meeting budget and services goals, understands the mission and objectives of Jewish Family and Children's Services, and works within the limitations of the Agency's resources and performs all duties in compliance with agency standards. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000 (depending on experience) Employment Type: full-time, exempt position with benefits Employer 403(b) retirement match plus additional employer contribution (subject to eligibility) Cafeteria plan with medical, dental, vision, FSA, Employer-paid life, and disability insurance 16 holidays (10 federal and up to 6 Jewish holidays), annually 3 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of sick leave, annually Staff receives on-going training with experts in the field through CCY's Child Training Institute and expert panel Opportunity to work some hours from home JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides clinical therapeutic intervention for low to moderate mental health issues for children, adolescents and their families utilizing required screening, assessment, and treatment planning Attends weekly case consultation for CCY clinical staff and participates in agency wide quarterly Quality Assurance peer case review process Psychologists may provide psychological testing for children and adolescents Completes administrative duties necessary to carry out clinical responsibilities in a timely fashion. Maintains timely and accurate assessment, treatment, and consultation records Participates in JFCS and departmental meetings and staff trainings as appropriate and represents the department in a professional demeanor Performs other duties as assigned by the CCY Associate Clinical Director JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a master's degree or a Doctoral Degree (PsyD/PhD) Must be licensed in California (LMFT, LCSW) Demonstrated skills in providing assessment and problem-focused psychotherapy working with children and adolescents and their families Expertise in diagnosis and treatment of symptoms and behaviors associated with ADHD, anxiety, disordered attachment, mood disorders, autism spectrum, and other conditions impacting childhood development Expertise in working with families as a component of treating children and youth Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Flexibility to work later afternoons and some evenings Excellent oral and written communication skills This position requires the employee to work and travel within JFCS regions, thus position requires the employee to posses a valid CA driver's license and automobile liability insurance.
